Executive Board Meeting

In attendance: Cathy
Pazzelli, Jamie Janezich, Rick Goodman, Nancy Tepovich, and Sheri Undeland (by
telephone)
Cathy Pazzelli, President, opened
the meeting and reviewed the agenda items.

The July 11 meeting will be held at Delta Dental in Gilbert with the topic of
performance based / competency based evaluations. Holly Waisanen will contact Jim
Laumeyer. Other possible topics /
speakers include diversity / interculture competency training, people with
disabilities in the workplace (Sheri knows of a speaker),and legal updates
(possibly Mitch Brunfeldt). Jamie was
willing to put together a new survey of topic interests for the July meeting.

Sheri Undeland gave update for seminar committee. The all day seminar will be held October 10
at the Mt Iron Community Center. Two
speakers and topics: “Humor in the
Workplace” and “Performance Management”.
Each speaker will have 75 minutes, the breaks will be shorter. Jamie will have Nikki Cianni contact Mitch
Brunfeldt for his speaker fees. The
committee is looking at options for the location of vendors and would like to
have up to 20 vendor booths. They are
also looking for sponsors.

The 2007 third quarter AHRA meeting is scheduled for October 25. Site to be determined. Jamie Janezich will contact Norm at Fortune
Bay about using their facility for a future meeting.

Cathy reviewed the requirements for the CAPs report. We have completed several items for this
year. Our Chapter Audit indicated that
AHRA needs a 3% increase in our 2007 membership. Nancy stated that we have over 40 paid
members. Members who are interested in a
committee assignment should contact Cathy.

Cathy attended a MN SHRM leadership conference in Alexandria. The next Leadership meeting will be held
during the annual MN SHRM conference in October..

MN SHRM conference will be held in St Cloud, October 14-16. Chapter volunteers are needed to introduce
speakers and to monitor rooms. AHRA is
able to pre-sell raffle tickets for our ‘donated basket’ at our all-day
seminar.

Connie Larson will be checking with local newspapers about having an “Ask HR’
section. This could also be included on
our website.

Nancy has opened a checking account with Wells Fargo.

A motion to establish a drawing for 2 paid registrations for 2 members to
attend the MN SHRM conference was approved..
Persons interested in participating need to contact Nancy by Monday,
July 9. Early registration fee is $159
(deadline August 31). The regular fee is
$299.
