BUSINESS
MEETING:
Treasurer’s
Report –
Jamie Janizech reported a balance of $4,409.91.
Membership
Report –
Jennifer Tiedeman reported we currently have 26 paid members which is down from last year.
Jamie Janizech brought up the importance of increasing our membership by
possibly advertising more through channels such as Community Watch on the local
radio stations and the Community Notices section in the Manney
Shopper. There was also discussion about
increasing the number of AHRA members who are also members of SHRM and the
benefits this brings to our chapter.
Jamie
Janizech mentioned that he will be setting a date for a Board Meeting in May.

AHRA
Scholarships –
To date we have not received any applications for the AHRA Scholarships. The information for the scholarships was sent
to all the local community colleges and is advertised on our website. For the information of the group in
attendance, there are two scholarships available: one for an undergraduate
scholarship for someone pursuing an HR related degree and one graduate or
PHR/SPHR/GPHR certification scholarship.
Please spread the word regarding our scholarships.
JobDig – Jamie Janizech mentioned that at the last State
Board Meeting there was discussion of a rebate program where JobDig sent 3% to the State Board when local chapter
members advertised with JobDig. They have changed the program to send the
rebates to individual chapters when the chapters’ members advertised through JobDig. Jamie stated
that if your company does utilize JobDig, please let
him know as our chapter would receive rebate money from the advertisements.
Jamie
also handed out information on Problem Gambling as the State Board had asked
that this information be passed to the local chapters.
Webcasts – If you participate in a Webcast through SHRM, notify Jamie Janizech as our chapter
receives credit on the CAPS report for each webcast.
CAPS
Report –
Jamie stated that we are lacking in our college student representation for our
chapter. It would be beneficial to our
chapter to involve more college students.

Board know of any ideas you may have for advertising/promotion of the
AHRA. Jamie mentioned that he has
